It’s amazing the amount of fuss a simple engagement ring can
cause. But you only have to look in the newspapers and magazines to realise
that there is a lot of interest surrounding engagement rings.
The most recent story to hit the headlines, regarding
engagement rings is that Kiefer Sutherland’s girlfriend has been spotted
wearing a suspected engagement ring.
The couple were pictured enjoying a meal out in Portofino in
Italy when the ring was spotted. Onlookers described how it looked like a
diamond ring and the couple looked very happy together.
Kiefer Sutherland has already been married twice before so
perhaps it’s third time lucky for the actor with girlfriend Siobhan
Bonnouvrier.
Later on, the couple were spotted looking in a jeweller’s
window and speculation has started that perhaps they were looking for wedding
rings for the big day.
Details of the supposed engagement ring have not yet emerged
but from the pictures so far, it looks like it’s a really big sparkler.
The newspapers and magazines will now be on a race to get
the details of the ring and to confirm that it is an engagement ring. But
whether it is or not, it just goes to show how much impact a piece of jewellery
can have.
