Designing Bespoke Jewellery Using Our Virtual Appointments
With our newly developed Virtual Appointments service, lots of you have been asking how it works, and the best way to create Bespoke Jewellery with the new remote service, so here’s the simple steps and process we have put in place to ensure making that special piece of jewellery is as magical as ever.
The ideas stage
The best way to start is to get in touch on our Bespoke Jewellery page. Here you’ll find in detail all of the steps we go through to design your engagement ring or special jewellery piece. If you have an idea of the type of ring or jewellery piece you’d like to make, you can send us photos or links to your ideas. Pinterest is a great place to start looking for ideas, or if you scroll through our engagement rings page, you may find something like what you’re looking for. Our friendly and expert team will then arrange a high quality video call to talk through your design ideas, and get a better understanding as to your needs. We can show you jewellery we have in the showroom, and other bespoke jewellery pieces we have recently created.
The design stage
Once we have all of the information we need, and we have agreed to the specifics of the piece, we’ll go away and produce high quality designs of the item. This is an iterative process, and we will usually send a draft design for you to approve, before then going away to create the final sketches and 3D design of the piece. We are able to create as many design iterations as you need to get to the final piece. It’s important that every detail is exactly how you dreamt it, before we set about making your perfect ring.
The build stage
Once you’re happy with the designs, we’ll head into our Hatton Garden workshop to create the ring, using the finest of materials and jewellers with over 50 years combined experience in creating jewellery. We use many modern and also traditional methods and techniques to ensure the fine and exquisite details are included and hand-finished to perfection.
Once it’s ready, we’ll jump on another high-quality video call to show you your exceptional piece in all it;’s glory. Alternatively, our showroom is also open with full PPE and COVID-19 precautions in place, including plastic screens and a sanitised environment, so if at this stage, or any stage, you’d like to pop in, you can.
Once you’re happy, we can send the jewellery via insured post, or arrange for socially distanced item pickup. We love creating bespoke jewellery, and seeing your creativity flow into designs to create something unique.
