Hatton Jewels are proud
members of the National Association of Jewellers and we have a qualified
Gemmologist and valuer on-site, so we can complete valuations with a quick
turnaround for you at a competitive price. We do all types of valuations, so whatever your requirements we are here to help.
Valuations - Our valuations are both
thorough and accurate, containing everything your insurance company may need
including full quality assessments, design descriptions and photographs,
meaning they can be relied upon to give you peace of mind.
A valuation for insurance costs a £50 schedule fee for up to 3 items submitted, plus 1% of the value. The 1% charge drops to 0.5% once the value reaches £20,000.
We do also offer a fast-track service if you have just a single item for an additional £50 per item. This fast-track service
means we can complete a valuation for insurance for most items of jewellery within
4 hours, however this is subject to availability, so do give us a call to book
Valuations - Probate valuations can be used for a multitude of reasons such for HMRC to value the estate of deceased or to value assets for court
proceedings, such as a divorce settlement. This value will be lower than the
insurance valuation as it is the value of the item if it were to be sold immediately
in it's current condition.
A valuation for probate costs a
£50 schedule fee for up to 3 items submitted, plus 1% of the value. The 1%
charge drops to 0.5% on the value once it reaches £20,000. The valuation for
probate is subject to a minimum charge of £75.
Valuations - We can also help if
you are looking to sell your items. With over 40 years' experience buying and
selling jewellery, Hatton Jewels' highly trained staff are dedicated to giving
you the best possible price for any unwanted items, ensuring same-day payment. Simply email us a photograph and details of the items you are looking to sell to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be in touch within 24 hours (excluding weekends)
