Out of this World Jewellery
This week, we’re looking at some of the most extravagant, extraordinary and just beautiful jewellery pieces we have here in stock at Hatton Jewels, from a 6.5 Carat Old Cut diamond ring to an intricate Old Cut star shaped Victorian brooch. Hold onto your seats, and possibly your purse strings, this jewellery is not for the faint hearted!
A one carat diamond is beautiful thing. There is almost nothing better. However, if one carat isn’t enough, how does 25 of them sound? This stunning 1950's diamond necklace is set with channel baguette cut diamonds, with clusters of marquise cut diamonds claw set along the collar, weighing in approximately 25 carats. This necklace has a beautiful pear shape diamond drop weighing 1.17ct at the centre too, just incase you didn’t feel there was quite enough diamond to go around.
Yes, 33 carats in a single stone! This incredible Natural Oval Yellow Sapphire Ring measures 19.94 x 14.07 x 12.76mm and is accompanied by a certificate from LFDG (Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie), stating the stone is natural with no evidence of heat treatment. Big and completely natural! Just incase that wasn’t enough, the principal stone is flanked on each side by a cluster of 6, collection quality brilliant cut diamonds, each weighing 0.10 carats and graded D-F VS. The stones weighing an estimated total of 1.20ct, mounted on an 18 carat gold ring. Phew!
This jewellery piece is less about the carats, and more about the intricate and interesting style, although it is still covered with glittering old cut diamonds! It’s also been delicately handcrafted in gold and silver. A truly starry eyed piece of vintage jewellery excellence.
A mesmerising old cut diamond target ring with an impressive Victorian old cut diamond weighing approximately 6.50ct. The center stone is encircled by a halo of channel set deep blue, calibre cut sapphires weighing an approximate total of 2.00ct. The ring features a further, wider rim grain set with old cut diamonds with an estimated total of 2.50ct. The handcrafted platinum was crafted after the diamond was cut, likely mid 1930's. The under-bezel of the ring is ornately pierced with floral motifs, with fine shoulders grain set with further old cuts.
