The Most Romantic Things To Do In London This Valentines
With just a few days to go, we’ve lined up some of the most romantic things you possibly do in London this Valentine’s Day to show that special someone in your life just how much you care.
Enjoy a Candlelit Concert
Candlelit dinners are such a cliché, so why not turn it up a notch and head to one of these candlelit concerts inside London’s oldest and most beautiful churches? See stunning performances of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata at either St. Martin-in-the-Fields, a 500-year-old church on the edge of Trafalgar Square, or the Wren-designed St. James Church off bustling Piccadilly. Alternatively, head to Southwark Cathedral for a gorgeous piano recital, including Debussy’s Clair De Lune and Rachmaninov’s Prelude in G minor. Each pair of tickets comes with a glass of red rose.
Go on a cruise!
Can’t get to Venice this Valentine’s Day? An intimate cruise through Regent’s Park on London’s Regents Canal is your next best bet. London Shell Co is setting sail with another Valentine’s offering – a romantic two-and-a-half-hour dining cruise with seven-course seafood menu and optional wine pairing. The menu, inspired by the Best of British seasonal produce, will begin with a traditional aphrodisiac of oysters, followed by a range of incredible seafood dishes including truffled cods roe, salmon en croute for two to share and sea salt caramel truffles to finish.
Set a Special Cinema Trip...
The Luna Cinema is popping up at the Natural History Museum with six specially selected screenings across three evenings this Valentines (14, 15 and 16 February). But this one’s not just for couples – as well as Pretty Woman, The Notebook, A Star Is Born and Love Actually, there will be anti-Valentines screenings of Kill Bill Vol 1 and Thelma and Louise. The films will be screened in the iconic Hintze Hall below the jaw-dropping 25m long Blue Whale skeleton, Hope. Every guest will also receive a complimentary box of popcorn and access to the Natural History Museum’s Life in the Dark exhibition
