The stunning Diamond jewellery from the 2021 Met Gala
After a hiatus, the world's glitterati came together this week in illustrious style at the 2021 Met Gala, and the jewellery was nothing short of spectacular. From Rihanna dazzling in over 267 carats of Bvlgari diamonds, including no fewer than three necklaces, to 50’s high glamour from co-chair Billie Eilish wearing multiple Cartier necklaces and rings, Hatton Jewels have been swooning over the photos all week, and here’s our rundown of the best-in-show.
Rhianna’s Bvlgari Diamond necklaces
She made a style splash in an over-the-top Balenciaga gown, but her jewels simply stole the show. The Fenty Beauty founder rolled up completely iced out in over 267-carats of diamonds from Bvlgari. The star wore a high jewellery necklace from the brand that featured nine pear-cut diamonds, tatalling 14.55 carats, 107 round brilliant-cut diamonds that accumulated to 35.84 carats and 6.54 carats of pave-set diamonds. That piece was stacked with a heritage necklace from the brand that totaled 81.9 carats. She also slipped on a 5-carat black ceramic ring from designer Thelma West. An incredible amount of diamond jewellery from one of our favourite designers. Discover our collection of Bvlgari Jewellery in our pre owned boutique.
Jordan Alexander’s Tiffany Diamond daisies
Wearing a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Daisy necklace with matching earrings, Jordan Alexander was a sight to behold. The multicolored gemstones and diamonds beautifully complimented her colourful Christopher John Rogers gown. Other Tiffany fans included Tracee Ellis Ross, who turned to over $750,000 worth of Tiffany & Co. jewels to accent her regal blue Balenciaga look.
Billie Eillish Cartier Diamond bracelets
Billie Eilish went full Hollywood glam wearing Cartier diamond bracelets and rings across her knuckles and thumb. Cartier seemed to be the designer of choice for many celebs, with Carey Mulligan also sporting a single Cartier diamond earring with her bubblegum-pink Valentino, and Yara Shahidi wore a transitional necklace from the Cartier Sixième Sens collection, part of which detaches to be worn in the hair. She added platinum and diamond earrings from the brand to finish off the look.
The men were not to be outdone. Frank Ocean wore a necklace from Homer, his new jewellery brand, and co-host Timothée Chalamet demonstrated his unique chic with two 1928 Cartier brooches attached to the waist of his Haider Ackermann suit.
